Our mission is to perform our professional duties to the best of our ability in an ethical, professional, and objective manner.
Founded in 2019, Criswell CPA, PLLC initially offered a host of services including tax preparation, bookkeeping, payroll, consulting and other non-attest services. These services were later merged with DC CPAs, PLLC for the purpose of providing a greater experience for our clients and to allow Criswell CPA, PLLC to focus on financial audits, reviews, and other attest and assurance services exclusively. Through the changes, our mission has remained unchanged.
JOSIAH CRISWELL
Criswell CPA, PLLC was an idea conceived during my time at a local accounting firm. I worked as a clerk and assistant while studying for my accounting degree at Cameron University. I graduated from Cameron in 2013 and was employed at a local government entity where I worked as an entry-level accountant before being promoted to the finance director. To obtain my CPA certification, I needed to work under the supervision of a CPA, so I moved to the industry sector and worked at a fortune 500 as an entry-level accountant before being promoted to a staff accountant. I started studying for the CPA exam in late 2018 and by mid 2019, hard work, dedication, and diligence paid off and I was thankful to complete all required exams on the first attempt.
